Skolens målsætning
The Danish School of Washington, DC er en dansk skole, som tager inspiration fra det danske skolesystem og hermed det danske livssyn. Skolen ser det som sin opgave i samarbejde med forældrene og på grundlag af dansk undervisningsmateriale at formidle en undervisning, der tilstræber at styrke elevernes danske sprogkendskaber både skriftlige såvel som mundtlige.
Det er skolens målsætning samtidig at give eleverne et kendskab til Danmark og dansk kultur herunder forstået historie, geografi, film, musik, mad, traditioner, samfundskundskab, osv.

| Mission
The Danish School of Washington, D.C. is grounded in the teaching philosophy of the Danish educational system. Based on a needs analysis from the students and their parents, the goal of the Danish School is to strengthen the students’ Danish conversational skills as well as their written communication skills, while providing them with an understanding of Denmark and the Danish culture. Above all, the students’ time at the Danish School should be enjoyable and fun!
