We now offer a conversation group for adults with intermediate and advanced Danish speaking skills.
The class is based on higher level conversational Danish with a focus on themes from Danish society and culture.
We strive to make the conversation enjoyable, vocabulary expanding, and with plenty of opportunities to practice pronunciation.
The class is led by Mette Gleason a native speaking Dane with a professional language teaching background.
Mette prepares the curriculum and incorporates texts and internet sources.

Danish for adults
It is never to late to learn a foreign language.
This intensive 24 session course designed for beginners is taugth by a certified Danish teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. Classes are held from September 2011 to May 2012
Class: Ideal for students who need to establish a basic knowledge of the Danish language and culture. The aim is to build up and stregthern the students' communication skills in understanding, speaking, reading and writing Danish. The instuction book 1 and 2 supplemented with materials created by the teacher to create a solid foundation in Danish. An insigth in Danish Culture and tradition is included. With completion of this intensive course students are ready for entering the intermediate course Danish 2, available for students in the fall 2012.
Books: Jokeren grundbog and øvebog 1 & 2 by Per Pinholt, published by Gyldendahl. The Danish School of Washington, DC will order books for students who register by advertied deadline (See registration form for additional information)
Tuition: is $ 900 for the 2011/2012 school years, a total of 24 session. Books are $ 62 pr. set in addition to tuition.
